Why your own ordering website

Stop renting your customers

On a marketplace, your customers are the marketplace's customers. They see your competitors next to you, and every order pays commission. With your own takeaway ordering website, regulars order from you directly, you see their details and order history, and you decide the offers.

Keep a marketplace for new customers if you like, and move your regulars to your own website. See how much commission you'd save.

Get orders from Google, free

Most people find a takeaway on Google Search or Maps. Put your ordering link where they look:

  1. Open your Google Business Profile.
  2. Add your GetTakeaway link as your Order online and website link.
  3. Add it to your Facebook and Instagram pages and printed menus.

Every order from those links comes to you with no commission.

FAQ

Takeaway ordering websites, explained

What is a takeaway ordering website?

It is your takeaway's own website where customers see your menu, choose collection or delivery, pay and send the order straight to you. No marketplace in between and no commission.

Do I need a website already?

No. GetTakeaway gives you a complete ordering website. If you already have a website, link its "Order online" button to your GetTakeaway ordering page.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. Use a domain you own, such as yourtakeaway.co.uk, or a free address like yourtakeaway.gettakeaway.net. The SSL certificate is set up automatically.

Does it work on mobile phones?

Yes. The ordering page is built for phones first, where most takeaway orders are placed, and works on tablets and computers too.

Can customers choose collection or delivery?

Yes. Turn on collection, delivery or both. For delivery, set your delivery areas with their own charges and a minimum order.

How do customers pay?

By card online through your own SumUp or Trust Payments account, or with cash on collection or delivery. The money goes straight to you.

How much does it cost?

£39 a month, with a 14-day free trial. No commission, no setup fee and no contract.
